There are one hundred chairs…
There are one hundred chairs set out. Each has a white cross on the back representing 170 000 lives lost per chair. On each seat is the name of a soldier who fell; British, Commonwealth and German. Details of their lives; their loved ones and where they lived as well as when they died.
Sobering thoughts as we sat to watch, ‘They Shall Not Grow Old.’
